Tetanus & Flu Vaccines

Superior Urgent Care carries two vaccines: the tetanus and diphtheria (Td) vaccine, which we most often give after a laceration or a wound that breaks the skin, and the seasonal flu vaccine. Both are walk-in, seven days a week, and you do not need to be an established patient. If you come in with a cut that needs to be cleaned and closed, the tetanus booster is handled in the same visit rather than sending you somewhere else for it afterward. We do not stock the full childhood or travel immunization schedule, so if you need something we do not carry, tell us and we will point you toward where you can get it. We are in network with most insurance carriers and offer flexible self-pay options, and our medical assistants will verify what your plan covers before anything is given, so there is no surprise afterward.

Common questions about tetanus & flu vaccines

What’s Included

  • Tetanus and diphtheria (Td) vaccine
  • Tetanus boosters after a laceration, puncture or wound
  • Seasonal flu vaccine
  • Walk-in visits, seven days a week

What We Do for Each of These

Tetanus and Diphtheria (Td)

Most often given after a laceration, puncture or wound that breaks the skin. Tell us roughly when your last tetanus shot was and a provider will tell you whether you are due; if you are, it happens during the same visit as the wound care.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine

Available as a walk-in during flu season each year. Call us first if you want to be sure this season's supply has arrived.

How a Visit Works

  • Walk in, or save your spot — no appointment needed, seven days a week.
  • We check your coverage first — our medical assistants verify your insurance and explain your copay, coinsurance, deductible and out-of-pocket cost before you are seen.
  • You see a nurse practitioner — providers with extensive inpatient and outpatient experience, caring for patients from pediatric through geriatric.
  • Testing and follow-up stay with us — labs go to Quest Diagnostics, imaging is ordered at a nearby facility, and the results come back to the provider who saw you.
