Primary Care
When you do not have a primary care doctor, or yours is booked.

Primary Care
Getting a primary care appointment can take weeks, and plenty of people in Canal Winchester do not have a primary care provider at all. Superior Urgent Care fills that gap. We manage chronic illness, refill common primary care medications, order and interpret bloodwork, and send referrals out to specialists when you need one. You do not need to be an established patient to start, and you do not need an appointment. Our providers are certified family nurse practitioners with extensive inpatient and outpatient experience, caring for patients from pediatric through geriatric, and they carry between five and twenty-eight years of medical experience each. We are open seven days a week, which means the care you would normally wait until Monday for can happen on a Saturday. For patients we already know, we also offer telehealth when it is appropriate for the visit. Russian and Ukrainian are spoken in the clinic. The providers who speak them are not in every day, so call (614) 829-3015 to check before you come in.
Common questions about primary care
What’s Included
- Chronic illness management
- Refills for common primary care medications
- Referrals to specialists
- Bloodwork, screenings and lab orders through Quest Diagnostics
- Care from pediatric through geriatric
- Telehealth for established patients, when appropriate
What We Do for Each of These
Chronic Illness Management
Blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, cholesterol and the rest of it. We can order the bloodwork, review the results with you and adjust treatment — whether or not you have a primary care provider elsewhere.
Medication Refills
We refill common primary care medications when your own provider is booked or you do not have one. Bring your bottles or a list, and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot refill here.
Specialist Referrals
When something needs a specialist, we send the referral out and make sure the record goes with it. You do not need to be an established patient to get one started.
Annual Exams
A full annual exam with the bloodwork that goes with it, available seven days a week rather than at the next opening six weeks out.
Telehealth for Established Patients
For patients we already know, we offer telehealth when it is appropriate for the visit. New patients are seen in the clinic first, so the provider has actually examined you before treating you remotely.
How a Visit Works
- Walk in, or save your spot — no appointment needed, seven days a week.
- We check your coverage first — our medical assistants verify your insurance and explain your copay, coinsurance, deductible and out-of-pocket cost before you are seen.
- You see a nurse practitioner — providers with extensive inpatient and outpatient experience, caring for patients from pediatric through geriatric.
- Testing and follow-up stay with us — labs go to Quest Diagnostics, imaging is ordered at a nearby facility, and the results come back to the provider who saw you.

Do I have to be an established patient?
